At the bottom of the old Dodd Hotel in Alpharetta, GA, there is a pizza restaurant created by Chef Julio Delgado and named after the former hotel owner’s Daughter: Minnie Olivia Dodd. 

The branding focused on using colors to induce hunger while the main font was chosen to honor the history of the building.  The hand-drawn icon gives visual interest and helps move the viewers eye down the logo vertically before then sending your eye to read the full word. This ensures that the viewer is slowing down just slightly and looking at the logo a little longer.
